Duties
of Parents
by J.C. Ryle
ISBN: 0-94288917-7
One of the most demanding (and rewarding) positions a person
may find themselves in is that of a parent. Unfortunately,
few prepare for this great responsibility, even though it
is a major part of one’s life. J.C. Ryle comes to our
aid once again, with sound Biblical advice to aid in this
daunting task.
Originally published in the 19th century, this short book
contains 17 nuggets of wisdom for training children. You could
easily read the entire book in a single evening. Or for those
who are pressed for time, keep it handy, and read a chapter
anytime you have a spare minute.
The principles which are outlined in this book are not quick
fixes. Parenting is hard work, but if you will apply these
principles which are mentioned, your children will be prepared
for a lifetime. |

Revival
in Our Time: Outside the Box—Inside the Book!
by Harold Vaughan
ISBN: 0-942889-16-9
We have seen “strange fire,” “false fire,”
and in most places, “no fire.” But where is the
“Holy fire” of God?
You are probably familiar with this verse, “Neither
do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break
. . .but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are
preserved” (Matthew 9:17). Old wineskins are incapable
of containing new wine—they will burst. The “new
wine” of revival simply will not survive in the musty
wineskins of our preconceived notions. If we want to get in
on what God is doing in our generation, we must move beyond
our limited frame of reference.
The purpose of this book is to lay before present-day Christians,
not only the possibility, but the probability of revival in
our day. The defeatism which has captured so many minds must
be rejected and replaced with optimistic faith. Our misunderstandings
and misconceptions must be laid aside.
The victorious Life of the Lord Jesus is available and accessible.
If we are to see Revival in Our Day, we must start thinking
Outside the Box and get Inside the Book.

The
Prayer of Jesus: Learning to Pray Like the Master
by Harold Vaughan
ISBN: 0-942889-13-4
Since the disciples asked, “Lord, teach us to pray,”
Christians have recognized Jesus Christ as the great authority
on prayer. And yet most of us have failed to follow His divine
teaching on prayer—and consequently have forfeited many
benefits that are ours as God’s children.
Harold Vaughan searches the Scriptures concerning our Lord’s
prayer life and shares valuable insight in his practical,
in-depth book, The Prayer Life of Jesus. As he reviews the
actual prayers of Jesus—as well as their results—we
gain an understanding of the purpose of prayer, specific types
of prayers, the eternal blessings of a life of prayer, and
other essential aspects of prayer.
If you have ever felt frustrated by “unanswered”
prayers, by an inability to pray aloud in the presence of
others, or by feelings of unworthiness as you petition God,
Vaughan offers helpful advice gleaned from the One Who “ever
lives to make intercession for the saints.”

Thoughts
for Young Men
J.C. Ryle
ISBN: 0-942889-12-6
"I am growing old myself, but there are few things I
remember so well as the days of my youth. I have most distinct
recollection of the joys and the sorrows, the hopes and the
fears, the temptations and the difficulties, the mistaken
judgments and the misplaced affections, the errors and the
aspirations, which surround and accompany a young man's life.
If I can only say something to keep some young man in the
right way, and preserve him from faults and sins, which may
mar his prospects both for time and eternity, I shall be very
thankful."

The
Price and Power of Revival Duncan Campbell
ISBN: 0-942889-10-X
Here are power-packed messages from a man who saw revival! Duncan
Campbell was God's instrument in a powerful awakening in the
Hebrides. Over a four-year period (1949-1953), he witnessed
an extraordinary moving of God's Spirit over the islands. Overwhelming
conviction of sin and miraculous conversions were commonplace.
One profound truth we learn here is that a God-sent revival
must ever be related to holiness and real New Testament separation. |
