Heaven…

Could You Feel At Home There?

There will be no party spirit in heaven…

• No institutional allegiances…
• No denominational loyalties…
• No sectarianism…
• No generational tension…
• No socio-economic barriers…
• No segregated neighborhoods…
• No racial divides…
• No delusions of superiority…

Could you feel at home there?

There will be no evil speaking in heaven…

• No scandal sheets…
• No slanderous blogs…
• No criticism…
• No belittling of fellow saints…
• No tangential rants…
• No pulpit bullying…
• No political infighting…
• No gossip.

Could you feel at home there?

There will be no religious suburbs in heaven…

• No Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, etc. neighborhoods…
• No Christian school, or home school districts…
• No blue or white-collar borders…
• No Messianic congregations…
• No worship of man-made traditions…
• No personality cults…

Could you feel at home there?

There will be perfect unity in heaven…

• No theological debates…
• No elevation of cultural distinctives…
• No national pride…
• No looking down on others from different groups…

Could you feel at home there?

There will be all kinds of redeemed sinners in heaven…

• Murderers…
• Thieves…
• Liars…
• Adulterers…
• Homosexuals…
• Hindus…
• Muslims…
• Sikhs…
• Indians…
• Asians…
• Mexicans…
• Africans…
• Caucasians…
• Europeans…
• Arabs…

Could you feel at home there?

There will be…

• Love…
• Grace…
• Peace…
• Godliness…
• Unbridled praise…
• Health…
• Holiness…
• Happiness…
• Perfect knowledge…
• No sin.

WOW!

Just think…

• No comatose worship services…
• No more misconceptions about God…
• No faulty viewpoints…
• No imbalances…
• No compromise…
• No more suffering…
• Glorified bodies…
• Faith will become sight…
• Only one attraction—the LAMB!

Heaven will not be adjusted to the whims and fancies of fallible men. (By the way, if you don’t like those who are different from you, consider how different you are from Jesus!) Wise men will acclimate themselves to that glorious abode while still on earth. If you expect to feel at home in heaven you must get under divine tutorship. To those in step with eternity, heaven won’t be such a shock. No wonder Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

That is what I have always loved about you, Brother Harold; concise, to the point, and right on target!
Sadly, the sinful heart of man always finds a way to limit the potential of God’s amazing grace. One day, that will be all over! “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”! I can’t wait to meet Him face to face!

Oh that will be glory for me, glory for me, glory for me,
when I shall look upon His face, that will be glory for me and
    etc. & etc.

What a wonderful day that will be for those who have been called and
have yielded to the wooing of the Holy Spirit. And will be presented to the
Father cleansed by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There isn’t only saving power in the blood, there is also keeping power.
    Praise the Lord!!!

Thank you for such a wonderful article,

Years ago, I listened as an old saint testified….she began talking about heaven and got very excited, talking about what it will be like there. Suddenly, she stopped and crossed her arms across her chest. I thought “is she having a heart attack?”…Finally, she got her composure and said “when I get to heaven, He will have to give me a new body, this one couldn’t stand it!”…I agreed then and still do. even so, come Lord Jesus. gm

Oh what a Day that will be!

Harold you finished with the most needful thing, on earth we should be starting to practice heavenly habits. Delighting ourselves in the Lord. Walking in the light of His Word, we should find peace and contentment although the world is in turmoil. Loving each other with a pure heart (as Jesus would love), demonstrating the the Spirit has control over our spirit. Then would the fountains of our soul overflow with the joy unspeakable and praise unstoppable for the Lamb who is worthy! Can’t take my eyes off the Lamb… He is the only attraction and as the hymn writer said, “Jesus will be, what makes it heaven for me.”
